Next Pick-Up: October 8th!
We are only one week away from our October pick-up day! Our drivers will be at your home (or designated pick-up location) next Saturday, OCTOBER 8th, between 9am-12:30pm. Please have your red bag out and ready to go by 9:00am. When our drivers take your filled red bag, they'll leave you an empty one for next time. Tax receipts will be emailed out after the pick-up. Things to know about this pick-up:
If you know you will NOT be participating next Saturday, please be sure to let us know by replying to this email so we don't needlessly stop by your home. These reminders are a bulk mailing, so please disregard it if you've already notified us -- no need to do so again.
If you decide to drop your bag off directly to The Salvation Army's (TSA) food bank instead of having us pick it up on October 8th, please email us to let us know you will not need pick-up at your home. Located at 3001 R Avenue, TSA's front office hours are Mon - Thurs, 9am-4pm (closed 12-1pm for lunch). A replacement red bag can be found just inside their front office door in the lobby.
CURRENT NEEDS: Jelly Meals-in-a-Can (Chef Boyardee, etc.) Soups Ensure type drinks Pasta Roni/Hamburger Helper Spaghetti Sauce Canned Meats Baking supplies (flour, sugar, etc.) Hygiene products Toilet Paper SPECIAL REQUEST: **These are EXTRA items to add to your bag should you choose.** Granola Bars for Food-To-Go school backpack program. NOT NEEDED: Please note, the food bank currently has adequate amounts of the following, and does NOT NEED: Canned Veggies Cereal Beans Tomato products (sauce, paste, diced) Mac & Cheese While we prefer donations of red bags filled with food when possible, monetary donations can be made online via our ASG Square store, or by mailed check payable to A Simple Gesture - Anacortes, P.O.
