Happy 2024, amazing donors! Our first pick-up day of the new year is already approaching! Our drivers will be stopping by to pick up your filled red bag on Saturday, FEBRUARY 10th, so please mark your calendars.
The food bank is already running low on many items, so again their list of current needs is long. In addition to the following shortages, February's optional "Special Request" is for various baby items, which are listed separately below.
CURRENT SHORTAGES:
Canned Fruit and Fruit Cups
Oatmeal (preferably single serve packets)
Pancake Mix and Syrup
Cereal
Pasta Roni
Rice-A-Roni
Chili
Hamburger Helper
Peanut Butter and Jelly/Jam
Soups (all types)
Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, salad dressings, bbq sauce, etc.)
Granola Bars/Breakfast/Protein Bars
Crackers (all types, including graham)
Meals-in-a-Can (Ravioli-o's, spaghetti-o's, etc.)
Baking Goods (flour, sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar)
Broth/Stock
Dry Pasta
Pork & Beans/Baked Beans
Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate (especially single serve coffee (not K cups))
Ensure type/Protein Drinks
Instant Potatoes
Corn
Almond Milk
Personal Items: Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, etc.

As usual, the following are some important details about our upcoming pick up:
If you will be missing Saturday, February 10th's pick-up, please be sure to email us to let us know so we do not needlessly stop by your home. If you've already notified us via email, you do not need to notify us again.
If you prefer to drop your bag off directly to The Salvation Army (TSA) food bank instead of having us pick it up on February 10th, feel free to do so, but please email us to let us know you will not need pick-up at your home. This does not apply to those donors who have "Drop Off Status," as confirmed by A Simple Gesture.
Finally, we gratefully accept monetary donations, which can be made via either our ASG Square site or check payable to A Simple Gesture - Anacortes, mailed to P.O. Box 1413, Anacortes, WA 98221.
